AboutKinda like Texas, we’re a land of misfit toys, outlaws, and outlaw lovers. We’re opinionated, yet humble; we’re savvy, yet kind. We’re serious about our work, but not about ourselves. We celebrate good food and drink. Friends before before work, and family above all. And if you’re a friend, then you’re family.
What Texans are saying
Blueberries as long as a hot Texas summer day. If you have any question about whether or not you can experience taste notes in a coffee, this one is for you. Blew me away. Drank it as Espresso. Only amplified the berry taste. Pour over is up next.
I was very pleasantly surprised with this low-caffeine coffee. While I will occasionally drink decaf, I've never had a naturally decaffeinated coffee. My wife prefers decaf so I thought I would get this through Texas Coffee Club. (I was happy to see that box in my mailbox!!) I prefer espresso so I ground the beans in my Niche grinder and then pulled an espresso through my Decent Espresso machine. Nice head of crema on it. Very pleased with the taste. I picked up a lot of fruity sweetness right after pulling. After it cooled down a bit, I could really pick up the chocolate nuttiness. Will definitely be buying again!
Tased too bitter
Very yummy coffee
a little too bitter
Denton is a small town but they have a big time roaster there in West Oak Coffee. I've had several of there coffees and have never been disappointed. While usually a fan of Ethiopian naturals, I thought I'd give this washed a try. So glad I did. Fruitiness still comes through but not so much in your face. Will be ordering again.
